Programs & Workshops

Explore TechElevate offerings designed to help students and families build technical confidence, strengthen digital wellness, and access the tools they need to learn.

Welcome to TechElevate Programs

From coding classes and robotics to community hackathons, cyberbullying education, and technology access support, our programs are built to be practical, inclusive, and family-friendly.

Current Offerings

Java Classes

This semester-based curriculum introduces students ages 12–18 to core programming and computer science concepts through hands-on Java development.

  • Learn program structure, variables, input/output, control flow, loops, methods, arrays, and ArrayLists.
  • Progress into classes, objects, encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, debugging, and file input/output.
  • Apply searching, sorting, and recursion in collaborative projects that build logical thinking and software development habits.

Cyberbullying Workshops

This digital wellness program helps families and students recognize, prevent, and respond to cyberbullying while promoting healthy online habits.

  • Understand common forms of cyberbullying, including harassment, impersonation, exclusion, and public shaming.
  • Learn warning signs, healthy digital boundaries, and strategies that encourage respectful online behavior.
  • Practice practical response steps such as documenting evidence, reporting harmful behavior, and supporting children’s mental health.

Hackathons

Our hackathons are collaborative, hands-on events where students work in teams to design creative technology solutions to real-world problems.

  • Participants brainstorm ideas, define a problem, and prototype tools such as apps, simulations, dashboards, or interactive experiences.
  • Students explore challenge themes like scam awareness and school innovation while building solutions that support their communities.
  • Each event strengthens teamwork, leadership, communication, and presentation skills alongside technical creativity.

Robotics Workshops

Robotics workshops are hands-on sessions where students use block-based coding to program small robots and explore computational thinking.

  • Students control robot behavior through guided activities that make coding approachable and fun.
  • Workshops emphasize experimentation, testing, iteration, and collaboration with peers.
  • Sessions help learners build confidence in engineering concepts in welcoming spaces like libraries and community centers.

Technology Assistance Program

Technology Assistance provides essential devices and internet access so students can fully participate in coding and technology programs.

  • Laptops and hotspots are distributed through donations and nonprofit partnerships at no cost to learners.
  • Devices are shipped directly to students to support consistent participation throughout the course experience.
  • By reducing access barriers, the program helps keep classes equitable and ensures every learner can stay connected and build projects.
